Sam's First Book

Sam read his very first book on Friday (the 16th)! He read all the way through the "Cat" book that came with our Kindergarten Hooked on Phonics set. We're so proud! Big thanks to Sam's pre-k teacher, Mrs. Wendi - she has so much more patience than me!

Native American Festival

We spent the first Saturday in May with Aaron's brother Jared and his family at the Native American Festival at Russell Cave here in Alabama. There were lots of activities for the kids and we got to see a "Birds of Prey" show too - they even had a bald eagle! She had been injured as a baby and lost her left wing, but she was still so beautiful! We had a great time and out of all the kids, Brittany was the best at hitting the target with the spear throwing, bow and arrow, and stick throwing!
